<span lang="EN-US">The inverter has been attracting researchers for their application in renewable energy. So far, multilevel is considered as low distortion class, which produces output voltage imitating a pure sine waveform. However, the needs free of have motivating to improve pulse width modulation PWM generation method. In this paper, modified technique proposed reduce total harmonics (THD) inverter. This then applied control single-phase threelevel neutral point clamped (NPC-MLI). Grey wolf optimizer (GWO) algorithm utilized generate optimal amplitude and phase shift reference signal. The GWO compared with other optimization algorithms such differential evolution (DE), human psychology (HPO), particle swarm (PSO) evaluate performance harmonic minimization. work validated through simulation experimentation on prototype. results show that optimized can THD NPC-MLI voltage.</span>
